zonder glasvezelversterkte kunststoffen moeilijk voor te stellen. Het materiaal werd rond het begin van de 20e eeuw ontdekt voor industri\u00eble doeleinden en aanvankelijk gebruikt voor het isoleren van huizen. Al snel volgden andere toepassingen en het materiaal wordt tegenwoordig veel gebruikt in de ruimtevaart-, automobiel-, scheepvaart- en bouwindustrie.<\/p>\n<h2>Waarvan is GVK gemaakt<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Glas(vezel)versterkte kunststof (GVK)<\/strong> is een composietmateriaal dat bestaat uit een polymeermatrix en glasvezels. De polymeermatrix bestaat gewoonlijk uit een thermohardende epoxy-, vinylester- of polyesterhars. De hars voegt een omgevings- en chemische bestendigheid aan het product toe, is het bindmiddel voor de vezels in het structurele laminaat en definieert de vorm van een GVK-onderdeel. De glasvezels zorgen ervoor dat het composiet sterk is. Deze kunnen willekeurig worden gerangschikt of gemakkelijk worden gepositioneerd. Het meest voorkomende type glasvezel dat voor GVK wordt gebruikt, is E-glas, oftewel aluminiumboorsilicaatglas. E-CR-glas (elektrische\/chemische weerstand) wordt ook vaak gebruikt in toepassingen die een bijzonder hoge bescherming tegen zure corrosie vereisen.<\/p>\n<h2>Waarom het zo sterk is<\/h2>\n<p>Zoals met veel andere composietmaterialen, vullen de twee materialen elkaar aan om een sterkere verbinding te vormen. Kunststofharsen zijn zeer bestand tegen druk en glasvezels zijn erg sterk en onbuigbaar. Dankzij de combinatie van beide materialen is GVK een materiaal dat zeer goed bestand is tegen zowel druk- als trekkrachten. De productiemethoden voor GVK omvatten <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amiblu.com\/nl\/filamentwikkeling-flowtite-technologie\/\">filamentwikkelingen<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amiblu.com\/nl\/centrifugaal-gieten-hobas-technologie\/\">centrifugaal gieten<\/a>, handlamineren en verspuiten en profieltrekken (pultrusie).<\/p>\n<h2>De superieure voordelen<\/h2>\n<p>GVK beschikt over tal van voordelige eigenschappen. Het heeft een <strong>laag gewicht<\/strong> en een <strong>hoge mechanische sterkte<\/strong>, is <strong>bestand tegen chemicali\u00ebn<\/strong>, <strong>corrosie<\/strong> (inclusief elektrolytische corrosie, dankzij de niet-geleidende eigenschappen) en <strong>uv-straling<\/strong>, is <strong>temperatuurstabiel<\/strong> en <strong>milieuvriendelijk<\/strong>. GVK is bovendien <strong>waterdicht<\/strong>, waardoor het ideaal is voor alle buitentoepassingen. Met behulp van niet-brandbare harsen kunnen er ook <strong>brandvertragende eigenschappen<\/strong> aan GVK worden toegevoegd. Het scala aan toepassingen waarvoor tegenwoordig GVK-leidingen worden gebruikt, is breed: van <strong>rioleringssystemen<\/strong> en <strong>drinkwaterleidingen<\/strong> tot <strong>opslagtanks<\/strong>, <strong>drainagebuizen<\/strong>, <strong>waterkrachtschuifafsluiters<\/strong>,<strong> industri\u00eble leidingsystemen<\/strong>, evenals renovatie oplossingen met <strong>speciale niet-cirkelvormige leidingprofielen<\/strong>, om er maar een paar te noemen. Bij beide methoden worden zand en vulstoffen aan de vezelharscomposiet toegevoegd om een voldoende wanddikte op te bouwen en daardoor de sterkte en stijfheid van de leiding te vergroten.<\/p>\n<p>Het <strong>filamentwikkelproces<\/strong> maakt gebruik van continue en gehakte glasvezelversterkingen, die worden aangebracht op een roterende, voortbewegende spoelen in omtreksrichting. De buis wordt daarbij van binnen naar buiten gevormd.<\/p>\n<p>Bij <strong>centrifugaal gieten<\/strong> wordt de buiswand van buiten naar binnen in een roterende mal opgebouwd. De grondstoffen, inclusief de getrokken glasvezels, worden vervolgens in de mal gevoerd door middel van een feederarm die naar voren en naar achteren beweegt.<\/p>\n<p>Beide processen resulteren in een GVK-buis met gedefinieerde kenmerken, die op verschillende punten superieur zijn aan andere buismaterialen.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div><\/div><!--close column table wrapper.
